KB Kookmin Bank, the largest commercial banking franchise in South Korea.
KB Kookmin Bank operates South Korea's largest commercial banking franchise, with a portfolio spanning retail banking, corporate banking, capital markets, wealth management, and overseas branches across the major Asian markets. The Bankware engagement focuses on BX Product Factory, the master system for financial product information, deployed as the centralized product engine behind the K Project, Seamless programme that consolidates product management across the bank's channel and back-office systems.
Product complexity at Tier-1 universal-bank scale.
KB Kookmin had to consolidate sixty thousand active financial products, spanning deposits, loans, cards, funds, fees, and institutional-segment variants, across eight or more channels (mobile, internet, teller, ATM, call center, and the bank's broader digital surface). The previous architecture required channel-by-channel product duplication. The K Project, Seamless programme demanded a single product master that all channels pulled from, without touching the installed core, under the operational risk constraints of a Tier-1 bank.
BX Product Factory as the centralized product master, alongside the installed core.
Bankware deployed BX Product Factory as the master system for product information, with BX Interface integrating the channel surface and BX M carrying the operational Java framework. The product master holds the canonical record and distributes it through standardized APIs to every channel that needs it, without modifying the installed core. The implementation took twenty-two months end-to-end and represents one of the most demanding BX-PF deployments in the customer base by virtue of scale and channel-integration depth.

Sixty thousand active financial products are managed through one platform, spanning deposits, loans, cards, funds, fees, and institutional product variants. Three thousand new products are launched on average every month, the highest product-launch tempo in the Bankware reference portfolio. Eight or more channels pull product and benefit information from the single BX-PF master, eliminating the channel-by-channel product duplication that the previous architecture required. Approximately 80 million daily transactions cross the broader transaction surface that the product master feeds into.
